Terms of use
In short: this site helps you write a punch list and points you to finalist.cc, where a person reads a handyman quote or a repair list and writes back. Sending does not hire anyone. We publish no contractor list and do not send your request to contractors. You choose and hire any contractor yourself, and should ask for their license number and proof of insurance.
Using the site
By browsing localhandyman.directory (the “Site”) or sending information through it, you agree to these terms and to our privacy page. If you do not agree with any part of them, please stop using the Site.
What the Site is and is not
- Information only. The punch list, its license notes, and any benchmark note or scoping document we write help you organize information. They are not professional advice, and the license notes may be incomplete. License and permit rules differ by state and city; check with your own licensing or permit office.
- No hire from the form. Sending a list or a quote does not hire anyone or create a contract with a contractor. We do not send your request to contractors, and we do not check, endorse or supervise any contractor. You hire them directly and should ask for their license number and proof of insurance before work starts.
- Not a contractor, and not a contractor list. Local Handyman Directory publishes no list of handymen. It does not do the work, price it or judge a fair price, and it is not a contractor.
Fair use of the Site
Use the Site only for lawful inquiries. Please do not:
- run scrapers, crawlers or other tools to harvest the Site's pages or content in bulk;
- send false, deceptive or spam submissions;
- probe, breach or attack the Site's security, rate limits or servers;
- pose as another person, business or professional.
Ownership
The text, software, marks, drawings and layouts on the Site belong to Our Landmen LLC or its licensors and are protected by United States and international copyright law.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Our Landmen LLC and its affiliates, officers and contractors are not liable for indirect, punitive, special or consequential damages from using or relying on the Site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
